SESC hosted our first annual SumoBot Competition in the Southeast Region in February. Students had two opportunities to compete, on February 12th in Huntington and February 26th in Moab.
Seven schools representing 27 teams participated in the Huntington battle: Pinnacle Academy (Carbon) - 4 teams, Cottonwood Elementary (Emery) - 3 teams, Canyon View Middle School (Emery) - 2 teams, Beacon Afterschool (Grand) - 2 teams, Monticello High (San Juan) - 7 teams , and Albert R. Lyman Middle School (San Juan) - 8 teams.
Three schools representing 17 teams participated in the Moab battle: Beacon Afterschool (Grand) - 2 teams, Montezuma Creek (San Juan) - 5 teams, Albert R. Lyman Middle School (San Juan) - 9 teams.
SESC would like to thank all of the students, coaches, and schools who participated in the Spring 2020 SumoBot Competitions. We look forward to hosting more robot battles during the 2020-2021 school year!
