Southeast Education Service Center's Makerspace Activity Kits provide an opportunity for schools within the region to borrow Makey Makey, Ozobot, and Sphero kits from SESC. All kits include in-class coaching and professional development, curriculum, and project supplies. This program allows students and teachers an opportunity to explore their own interests, learn to use tools and materials both physical and virtual, and develop creative projects.

COVID-19 UPDATE

SESC is doing our best to provide the safest measures during the COVID-19 epidemic. STEM kits are still available for checkout during the 2020-21 school year, however we will not be hosting in-person workshops at this time.
Checkout procedures will follow these guidelines:
  • All equipment must be sanitized before returning to SESC.
  • Specific sanitization procedures for the equipment will be included in each kit.
  • Once a kit is returned to SESC, is will be re-sanitized and require a 5 day quarantine at the Service Center prior to being released for checkout.
  • In-person workshops are temporally terminated at this time.
  • Teachers can request a live video demonstration with our PD staff during a scheduled workshop via Webex, Zoom, or Google Meet.
  • One device per kit will be withheld by the Service Center for live video demonstration.

SESC's Makerspace Kit program was made possible by funding through the Utah STEM Action Center.
